I moved to the Nashville area in 2006. My husband had retired from his position as the Executive Director of the Bartlett Park District (IL) a year earlier. We sold our home in IL, most of our earthly belonging, bought an RV and hit the road. It was a wonderful year of travel and adventure for our family.

Our family of four lived in an RV of approximately 250 square feet. We believed this was an adventure God wanted us to take to find our new home. During the next year, we travelled through 39 states. We visited many beautiful areas but it was not until we reached Franklin TN that we felt we had found our destination.

We loved the beautiful, rolling hills of Franklin TN. It was a good match for our conservative Christian values. The market in 2006 was really hot. Nissan had just moved its corporate headquarters here and housing was in high demand. Home values increased 25% in just one year. There was a lot of demand and not enough supply.

We set about to find our new home in the Franklin TN area. Having lived in the suburbs of Chicago all our lives, we yearned for the relaxed country setting offered in rural Franklin. We hoped to live on acreage but it was very much in demand. After several months, we decided to build our home on five acres in rural Franklin. We love our home here.

Having left the corporate world to be a stay-at-home mom, I had followed real estate as a hobby for many years. However, after studying the Nashville area during our own home search, I decided to put that knowledge to use. I became a licensed REALTOR® in 2007 and joined Keller Williams Realty in Franklin TN.

When I came into real estate, the market had already begun to turn. I needed to quickly find a way to meet the needs of buyers and sellers in an ever changing real estate world. I focused my attention on marketing homes through the Internet.
